Automotive/IVI Architect

Location: Tokyo   Industry: IT-SIer/Services    Salary: ¥18 - ¥20

The role and day-to-day activities would around the lines below:

- Work with Auto/IVI system architect in:

o Understanding product requirements from OEMs (like Toyota, Mazda, Nissan etc)

o Creating SW requirements and architecture for defined scope of (ENG1 – ENG3 phase activity)

o Interfacing with OEMs as required to check and finalize the requirements and architecture

o Defining system integration and system testing requirements, plan (ENG8 – ENG 10 phase activities)

- Work with onsite / offshore teams

o Creating SW architecture document

o Providing inputs to design team

o Reviewing design team output

o Key technical interface between Architect/Design team and design/development team

- As per of his role he will need to have

o Minimun weekly meetings with product/system design team (more frequently as needed)

o Meetings with OEMs as expected and requested

o Weekly meetings with offshore team

o Daily sync-up with onsite team

o Validate the output from team before release

Technical Experience:

Experience in Automotive domain majorly in Embedded product development

Solution / Systems Architecture experience for Automotive Infotainment development, Third party components feasibility and integration

Experience on all major IVI features (Media, Navigation, Connectivity – BT, WiFi, USB, Mirroring, Radio, HMI-qt, HTML5, Smartphone connectivity, Browser)

Experience in all phases of Automotive development – ENG1 to ENG10 (strong experience in ENG1-ENG4 phases)

Developed prototype to identify the feasibility and impact on the operating environment for all new components.

Good ASPICE knowledge is preferable.

Other requirements:

Must have business level Japanese.

Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up, client responsiveness, and thorough communication.

Responsible for managing client expectations and championing their needs.

Ability to manage multiple OEMs, Vendor and projects/tasks simultaneously.

Demonstrated focus and commitment to measured results, Excellent writing and verbal skills, Ability to multi-task and prioritize and meet aggressive deadlines

Superior work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction – both internal and external

Should have minimum 10-15 years’ experience in Software development, with Embedded development environment.

Should have been played Architect role for 5-10 Years with complete product delivery ownership.
