Service Manager

The management and responsibility for Service and Maintenance Activities related to Japan business operations. This includes financial management of the Departments Budget and ensuring the Service business is meeting its contractual agreements and obligations by meeting the provision of services to customers, maximizing profitability in line with those contractual obligations to the specific clients and corporate requirements.

Key Accountabilities:
- Proactively manage the Service division in Japan
- Active leadership of Safety culture
- Deliver on the KPI’s that’s agreed on an annual basic
- Create and Implement strategy to achieve World Class status.
- Achieve Customer Satisfaction level of 80% plus
- Achieving bottom line profit targets
- Ensure timely and efficient transition of projects from construction phase to Service Contracts
- Oversee and manage the fiscal responsibility, i.e. budget expenditure, revenue, cost control
- Proactively manage and report to the client, applying contractual obligations, and extending Service Contracts
- Be an active leader in the development of the business by ensuring system design and implementation, efficiency, setting progressive service policies and strategies and presenting these to State of Affairs Committee.
- Ensure skill development of staff within the Service division, at all levels in Japan
- Management of key external stakeholder relationships

- 5years experience in successfully managing an international service offering in an engineering environment ($5-15m T/O)
- Experience in developing & presenting Service Contracts to clients
- Experience in negotiating complex contracts at a senior level
- Managed a major service business in a change environment
- Worked in Six Sigma & Reliability focused environment
- Developed service strategy in dynamic market environment

- High level commercial and business acumen – financial & contractual
- Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, including excellent time management
- Intermediate MS Office skills, knowledge of SAP
- English to a high standard both written & verbal
- Strong customer service focus
