This position requires the ability to work in a very fast paced and quickly growing business that participates within the power and natural gas arena. The Business Analyst works within the Operations Team to primarily focus on the identifying, implementing and monitoring customer life cycle operational controls. The controls will enable the greater Operations team to identify trends, report exceptions and undertake timely actions. This position requires a highly motivated and loyal candidate with solid analytic and process management skills to aid in the development of overall customer satisfaction.
Understanding of electricity customer lifecycle from a transactional standpoint.
Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
Provide leadership and technical guidance to a team deliver technical controls and reporting.
Engage with independent parties to facilitate support and independent testing of key controls.
Create process documentation, system maps and control matrices for new and updated processes and controls.
Interact professionally with internal teams, executive level management, external vendors, and utilities to acquire knowledge, resolve issues, and manage projects.
Documented manual paper processes, identified new business requirements, and automated the processes using computerized systems
Being an interface between technology teams, support teams, and business units
Utilize software, analytical tools, process documentation, and retail energy market knowledge to research and analyze business problems.
Work within XOOM Energy’s internal Customer Management Systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL SET & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or knowledge and experience commensurate with respect to wholesale or retail energy industry.
Ability to translate work into formats, such as Excel, as required for analysis.
Demonstrated proficiency in analytical and mathematical skills, solving problems with minimal guidance.
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Have strong technical skills, business intelligence, and a full understanding of the needs of the customer
Capable of working independently.
Demonstrates expertise in utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.
Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to discuss findings and recommendations in a succinct manner.
Interact professionally with internal teams and external vendors and utilities to acquire knowledge and resolve issues.
