Work in the Supply Group to develop, maintain, and enhance understanding of supply-related statistics and analytics. Own the load supply forecasting and scheduling processes. Liaise with other business areas in relation to key cross-department issues. Work to support all other supply initiatives including but not limited to pricing, procurement, information gathering, and third-party relationships.
Maintain and analyze multiple customer-related databases.
Work with internal and external resources in order to perfor daily energy load forecasting and scheduling.
Facilitate communications between supply organization and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate the receipt, review, and execution of required documents and contracts to enable the business.
Monitor and report on the global & domestic energy market landscape (nuclear, fossil fuels, renewables, etc. markets which may impact our business and the FCA).
Provide analytical assistance and support in completing supply initiatives including but not limited to pricing, procurement, and supplier relationships.
Forge and maintain important partner relationships, staying abreast of any market changes, both confirmed and expected.
Support review of pertinent utility tariffs, guidelines, facts, and market information for coordination with internal staff in areas of Supply, Operations, Customer Care, IT, Marketing, Regulatory, Finance and others.
Research, manage, report, and continually update a reference workbook for each utility containing dozens of pertinent facts related to those items mentioned above. (Including utilities’ fuel inputs and generation stacks).
Support Supply Group reporting requirements to METI, utilities, OCCTO, etc.
Support the company's knowledge base with all new regulations and business rules.
Monitor and report on METI’s Power & Gas market reformation information (including meeting minutes, presentations, etc.)
Manage and support corporate projects as the need arises and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION
Undergraduate or graduate degree with concentration in business, mathematics, accounting, engineering, economics, or energy-related discipline.
TOEIC Score: 800 and above
Experience in database management, relationship management, project management, and/or deregulated energy markets.
Database interpretation and management.
Experience creating and maintaining reports.
Demonstrable track record of accomplishments in the areas of project and relational management.
Understanding of the Japanese retail electricity markets.
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
High analytical ability with proficiencies interpreting and managing databases using Excel, SQL, and/or other tools.
High computer literacy with excellent skills in MS Office. (Word, PowerPoint, & Excel)
Attention to detail with the ability to quickly grasp, analyze, present and communicate electricity market rules/changes and market competitor news/competitive intelligence.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. (Japanese and English)
Well organized, dependable, punctual, strong work ethic. Availability outside of regular work hours to handle emergencies.
Ability to present detailed technical information in layman’s terms.
Ability to create and present data graphically.
