Job Description:
We are looking for a Business Analyst / BA manager / BA Director for various projects that may include local and global platform. This position is within Business Analysis Practice group and will support execution of the project portfolio. This role is responsible for eliciting business needs (including “as-is” and “to-be” process) from stakeholders, analyzing requirements and recommending solutions. The BA will also drive UAT (User Acceptance Test) to ensure the quality of project deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead business analysis activities on projects that may include global platform
Model high-level business processes for the future state by interpreting target operating models delivered from Line of Business (LoB)
Perform gap analysis between ”as-is” and “to-be” processes, provide solution approach to end to end business process
Elicit stakeholder requirements for multiple projects of varying level of complexity and scope
Partner with LoB, IT and Project Manager to identify prioritization of requirements and to provide recommendations on the scope and schedule for business analysis activities planning
Review the requirement documents created by team members (including vendor consultants), provide feedbacks to ensure completeness, consistency and accuracy across multi business process
Drive end to end user acceptance testing in effective execution plans, including UAT scripts creation and test results validation
Review and assess Change Requests for impact analysis and review functional requirement documents (FRD; IT deliverables).
Report business analysis activities, monitoring the progress of activities, reporting out on project status within the organization, including escalation of issues and risks
Guide and coach junior BAs on ad-hoc basis


Business experience & Knowledge/Technical Skills/Competencies:
(Required)
10+ years related work experience in Business Analyst/Project Management role for application development and/or consulting
Ability to elicit and business requirements and translate complex business issues into requirements and process
Ability to understand IT documents (FRD, Test Plan) and to trace business requirements to IT documents and Test documents
Ability to communicate with senior management and project leaders clearly and effectively


Preferred:
Knowledge of life insurance products and core processes/capability, and supporting technologies
Work experience in insurance and/or financial service industry
Ability to build strong relationships with partners including building consensus
Ability to identify gaps, risks and constrains in the project – schedule, scope and resources
Discernment of when to escalate potential issues to prevent project interruption
Ability to understand Architecture, and experience modeling business processes
Demonstrable experience of problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills and critical thinking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Japanese and English

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
TOEIC; minimum of 860 or equivalent language capability
CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMP, UML or JSTQB certification preferred
